We thought we’d take a moment to wish you all cheerful tidings, and reflect a little bit. Though it may be easy to be cynical about the consumerism and commercialism of it all, Christmas still remains a very special time of year for many of us. There is a certain feeling of joy and positivity in the air that we just can’t resist. It draws us towards being more loving and positive towards each other; to spend a little more time with the ones we care about, and to show our appreciation towards each other through gifts and kind acts. It’s an irresistible magical atmosphere, that we can’t help but get lost in. And with the year coming to a close, it’s also a time both for reflection and for looking towards the next year.

As we look back on 2016, we at Running With Scissors find a lot to feel grateful for, not least of which is the continued love and support of our fans. The people that keep buying and playing our games and interacting us through all our different channels – you are what makes it all worth it! And you’ve been extremely supportive throughout the year, with the projects we’ve put out. This year saw us release POSTAL Redux, our remake of the original classic POSTAL, which was met with a lot of positive reception and love from those who’ve played it. We’ve also continued updating the game, adding additional content and gameplay modes, with more updates on the way (such as Deathmatch Mode, and a fix for those pesky load times). Also, back in summer we finally followed up on the old ‘Reopening June 2016’ signs in POSTAL 2 with a brand new easter egg, looking toward the future of… now. We also started our podcast – The ‘I Regret Nothing Podcast‘ – which has been watched and well-received by our fans both live and on YouTube. And speaking of our podcast, if you’re someone who has been listening to it, or you’ve followed our social media activity, you may be aware that we’re also hard at work on a brand new series of games – one will be a multiplayer game, while the other will be a single-player title made for VR. It’s been a big focus of our work this year, and will continue to be so in the next, as well. We sincerely hope you guys will enjoy it as much as you’ve enjoyed everything else we’ve put out so far.

“To Our Beloved Postal Fans, all Gamers, all fun loving People in the Universe
Please take a moment to reflect on how fortunate you are. Be kind, generous and share especially with those who are in need, for not everyone is as blessed as us.
Never forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can be free, to live, to play, to laugh. Love and Respect are priceless and everyone can afford to give these purest of gifts.
God Bless and Best Wishes from All of Us at Running With Scissors”

– Vince Desi

We love you all, and this Christmas wouldn’t be nearly as merry for us, if it weren’t for all of you, and the love we’ve received from you over the last year! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for being with us, and for continuing to support us. Merry Christmas!

P.S. If you’re looking to have some holiday fun with our games, we suggest the following options:

P.P.S. Everyone’s favorite Live Action incarnation of the Postal Dude – Zack Ward – also has some holiday cheer to spread, and some practical advice to give, which you can watch here.
