Marketing Artist / Graphic Designer

Running With Scissors is looking for a Marketing Artist / Graphic Designer to create merchandise and marketing materials for the notorious Postal brand.

Requirements:

– A portfolio showcasing your best design work.
– Let’s check out your resume. Honestly, we’re more concerned with your skills. But we still wanna see.
– An advanced understanding of visual fundamentals, such as color theory, composition, balance, contrast, movement, etc.
– Ability to create high quality visuals for use in print, merchandise, web graphics, ads, video and games
– Versatile in technique, and ability to produce both raster and vector graphics
– An intuitive sense for the brands humor and visual style
– Good organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to navigate deadlines and priorities.
– Utilize industry standard software. We don’t really care what it is, as long as you can export to common formats.
– Must be self motivated, able to work independently, as well as part of a team. You’ll be afforded a lot of creativity in your approach, as long as you deliver the goods.
– This is a remote position, you will need to provide your own tools.
– Ability to attend weekly team meetings over Google chat. A decent proficiency in English is required.
– Must be ok with crass, classless, and often juvenile humor. It’s all in good fun!

Bonus:
– You’re a gamer, and huge fan of the Postal series (or at least able to fake it convincingly)
– Have a twisted sense of humor
– Basic knowledge of game development pipelines, production, and/or UE4

Senior Lighting Artist

Running With Scissors is looking for a Senior Lighting Artist to bring Postal 4: No Regerts to the next level.

Requirements:

– A portfolio showcasing your best lighting work.
– Let’s check out your resume. Honestly, we’re more concerned with your skills. But we still wanna see.
– Extensive UE4 experience a must.
– An advanced understanding of lighting fundamentals, such as color theory, scene composition, and theatrical lighting, and its role in game play, mood, and especially frame rate.
– An understanding of both dynamic and baked lighting techniques, and post process effects such as bloom, ambient occlusion, depth of field, and color correction.
– Experience with PBR materials and pipeline within Unreal.
– Strong technical skills for debugging complex lighting problems.
– Good organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to navigate deadlines and priorities.
– Utilize industry standard software. We don’t really care what it is, as long as you can export to common formats.
– Must be self motivated, able to work independently, as well as part of a team. You’ll be afforded a lot of creativity in your approach, as long as you deliver the goods.
– This is a remote position, you will need to provide your own tools. A decent machine to run UE4 is absolutely required.
– Ability to attend weekly team meetings over Google chat. A decent proficiency in English is required.
– Must be ok with crass, classless, and often juvenile humor. It’s all in good fun!

Bonus:
– Knowledge of scripting (C++ / Unreal Blueprint)
– A technical understanding of 3D modeling and texturing, and its role in relation to lighting
