p2 controls
« on: June 30, 2012, 02:16:26 PM »
I've been using a generic wireless usb controller with duel joysticks and it was working fine until the other day it started acting weird.  The right stick will make him turn when I try to make him look up or down, and look up or down when I try to get him to turn.  There doesn't seem to be a way to change the settings for the actual sticks in the settings.  Any suggestions?

OK, I tried an older Microsoft sidewinder and that was worse, just looked up continuously with no way to get him to look ahead lol

I think MrD would know more about this, I've never tired, but the 360 pad won't work with P2 out the box, you'd need Xpadder or joy2key to reconfigure some things.

open user.ini ,and find

JoyV=
JoySlider1=

make sure they're blank,and try,if it still doesn't work,try the following..

JoyV=Axis aBaseX SpeedBase=6.0 DeadZone=0.1
JoySlider1=

if it still doesn't work.. let us know..I'll try to help further..if you switch out controllers..I suggest deleting your user.ini each time.
