As a huge Postal fan, brony, and furry (sort of) myself, allow me to give some insight.1) As far as the furry fandom goes, not everybody dresses up in fursuits and has sex together. In fact, that makes up a very small percent of the culture, a culture that primarily celebrates techno music, well-done anthropomorphic art, and embracing every demographic of people (except for, y'know, pedos and rapists, but that should go without saying.) Shows like "CSI" and "My Strange Addiction" blow furries way out of proportion, and make everybody think people who appreciate the fandom are socially-inept retards who can't function without some kind of plushy suit to hide themselves. This is not the case.2) "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" is a great show. Not for everybody, sure. Initially designed for little girls, definitely. But as the show wore on, it started slipping in more mature references, everything from games like "Metal Gear Solid" to movies like "The Big Lebowski." It's evolved into something that parents can watch with their kids and share a mutual enjoyment, something that adults can watch and appreciate the clever writing/artistry, and something that anybody of any age can get a few laughs from. It's not Shakespeare, nor is it trying to be. But there's a reason that it's attracted such a rabid fanbase, compounded with the fact that the brony/pegasister culture is very open and accepting. In the end, it's all about what people choose to enjoy. People have given me shit for being a brony, for enjoying some aspects of furrydom, and for loving the living hell out of "Postal." But I keep on loving what I love, because letting myself be defined by what people think is stupid as all get-out. Just ask yourself this: do you think everybody loves "Postal"? They certainly don't. Does that make you like it less? Well, the fact that you're a member of this site should answer that question.
Can't we all just get along(with extreme prejudice)?
