Shaky camera gives me nausea - cam fix?

I'm trying to play this game but I really can't. The camera movements give me nausea, it feels almost like being seasick. ...so I tried out some 1st person mod, found out that all that did was change some settings in camera.cfg, fiddled with those settings some more myself, but nothing I tried got rid of all this camera shaking and bobbing.

Is there a way to get a steady non-shaking camera view?

Not to derail this thread but I think camera shake is a cancer that is killing gaming.

Try turning off the motion blur in the graphic settings under advanced.

it sounds like you just want the camera.cfg file back to normal. If I'm correct in this assumption just delete the file and have steam verify the game files. poof new fixed file

Or you can type p3_cam_shake 0 in the console.

Motion Blur was turned off, and the normal camera.cfg (which I kept) was where it all started.
