When will the owners of the russian version get the steam version?

When will the owners of the russian version get the steam version? Because on the (at the time of writing down, again) postal3.ru they said that we will get the ability to tie our retail copies of the game to our steam accounts.

Great, Trashmasters seems to be dead and Akella, after shitting out a bug (now playabe and very fun!), is hiding. Anyone here knows a way to bind the russian retail to steam (as to steam profile)? The game already has the steam files and overlay there.
And RWS, if you start a kickstarter for a new project - I'm in!

Trashmasters are dead, the whole team has moved onto other jobs now.  Best we can hope for is Akella allowing RWS to take over the management of the game and it's publishing, and maybe then something can be arranged with Russian and Steam... but it's all looking doubtful.

If Akella gives you all Postal 3 stuff including keys from Russian boxed copies will you add these keys to the Steam database? And will you delete this stupid DRM?

I would strongly push for both things, that's for sure.  I been fighting the DRM since day one, it's a disgrace.

But we are a long way from Akella allowing us to help the community, sadly.

To be honest I very much doubt this will ever happen.  While the SDK and possible further patches could still work out in time, I'd not hold out hope of the Russian game having their current keys tied to Steam.  I'll push for it, though.
