While I was laying around on the couch the last couple of days. I decided to try Kickstarter for funding a documentary about offensive material in America. I am hoping to generate 15K, which seems like a lot but this is a very travel intensive project. I have a co-directer on this project.
Devin Freeman, an 18 year old aspiring singer, is helping me as a co-director. She has been in many child beauty pagents and isn't a stranger to offending people.
I am hoping to get a broad variety of interviews from video game programmers, musicans, comedians, artist, and people on the street. This will allow me to create a piece that shows all sides of the nature of offensive material. It's also a look at the self censoring society we have become as a whole. While these may seem like simple questions, the answers are very complex.
The Kickstarter will be up later tonight and I hope everyone take an interest by either backing or just promoting the project.
