As many of you might be surprised to know, I am a journalist. I do alot of opinion pieces and touch on subjects outside of video games but my bread and butter is journalism. Most of the time, it's just an anouncement of new hardware or other developments but sometimes there are some cool things. So here are some of the news items from this week.
Apple CEO Spotted At Valve Headquarters
This furthers the notion of them developing a console for the mass market. These are intriguing times since Valve is one of the major digital services for games. MrDownerUp, posted an article on the Ressurection Studios about the specs. Check it out, interesting times ahead.
Video Game Sales Drop In March
This is across the board 25 percent drop in sales. Games, hardware, and acessories have all suffered and dropped to 1.1 billion in sales. Some of this could be explained by a lack of quality releases in March. Major titles like Ninja Gaiden 3 haven't faired well with reviewers and this has had it's impact on sales by my estimates.
Are Video Games The New Propaganda
I will probably cover this more indepth especially since I called Bugs Bunny a pussy in my late night article. Malavika Kamaraju, is a scholar who says that American video games are the new war propaganda. I would like some opinions on this so leave them below.
