A Very Postal Christmas (Anyone Have Any Word Yet?)

Does anyone know anthing about, or can link to any new discussions, of the AVPC mod thats been kicking around so long but never quite being released with a fully working version?

The last I recall seeing somewhere in a web search in the past was something like the maps were maybe working now but they were trying to add more new content to it rather than just releasing the working version they already had, or something to that effect...

To me that mod just looks like the best (or one of, opinions may vary) mod made for P2, if it only worked right (And if they got rid of that anoying stamina, running-out-of-breath thing someone decided would be good to put in the mod lol)

The original creator gave up Postal 2 modding some time ago.

A res-studio.net member wolve picked up updating it, but as far as I know he's not worked on it for a while.  I have no idea what the latest version of it now is or where to get it, but wolve might, I'll bring his attention to this thread.

I recently downloaded the game, but whenever I try to start it up, I get this:

Can't find file for package 'Core'

Sound like you don't have it installed correctly.

Basically your install folder should be inside the Postal2STP folder, something like this:

C://Program Files(x86)/Postal2STP/AVCP  (or whatever the folder that A Very Postal Christamas is in is called).

Anyways, it's working fine now.  The mod is pretty good.  My only complaint is the "stamina" feature.  It can be quite annoying at times.

Yeah, that's one of those 'just because you can, does not mean you should' features.

It's an even bigger pain in the ass when you have to scavenge for spring water.

Well, at least it's good to know that someone might enjoy this add-on fine. I never could, i never could've gone that far to complete at least two missions.. All versions are laggy and have a lot of bugs. The last version had a fucked up startup map.. always crashed, never had a chance to check it out.

yeah i fixed the stamina and got the map working added a couple of choirs in (like pick up beer ect) maps take a while longer as oagh never put any map points in,but some of major bugs have been sorted.

be a while yet though before i get a decent working mod

i bought the 10th anniversary edition and i also have a problem with the xmas version. The game works well but the game crash when i try to use the map or when it works my position is out of the map and everything on it is unreadable. Is there a patch or something to have this prob fixed ?

In my opinion, AVPC is the best mod ever done...i love it!

A Very Postal Christmas is a very good mod, but incomplete. The best ever total conversion for Postal 2 is Eternal Damnation.
