Postal 2 and Apocalypse Weekend now have Widescreen Support

This is a beta release, and whilst there should be no issues if you get any problems let us know so we can fix it before an official roll out.

The engine for Postal 2 has always supported wide screen, but until now you have had to mess around with configuration files to achieve it.  A while back Kamek of Resurrection-Studios.net had coded this for a Postal 2 mod that was being worked on.  After some fan requests, MrDownerup took the code, updated it with the aspect ratios description (which is a big help) and made it ready for use for Postal 2.

This should update Postal 2, Apocalypse Weekend and all Postal 2 total conversions such as Eternal Damnation and A week in Paradice to have the full selection of resolutions from within the main menu.

To install this, navigate to your Postal 2 folder (default : C://Program files(x86)/Postal2STP/) and copy the shell.u file into your system folder, overwriting the existing one (you may want to back this up first).

Oh yeah! I can finally go postal in FULL HD!!! It works great and looks much better!!!
 
And btw, on the 10th anniversary collection you need to put the file in every system folder not just in the Postal2STP..

Thanks for that info, although AW at least should just take the settings from Postal 2, if not the mods.

Working perfectly for me in Postal 2, AW and AW7.

Running at 1920x1200 the game looks fantastic. Thanks for releasing this patch - makes it alot easier when installing Postal 2 in the future to just select the resolution rather then mess around in ini files.

Did it work for you for AW just installing the patch into the Postal 2 folder?

Seems it's good enough to roll out on Desura soon, so anyone that has the game will get the patch automatically.
