I hope the first one's a troll.. I can see postal 2 offending gamers back when it was released,but now it's not really all that bad compared to some games.. still tbh..I'm surprised some Mom group hasn't come together yet.. "Games are bad! I'd Chill out with more dick from Dad"

& it's my understanding that digital copies don't fall under the same laws,or whatever as physical/retail copies.. besides we don't have any options to restrict the game in development section.. Guessing Valve is in control of these options..

well if it does it does...wasn't sure if it was just libraries being modified,or what.(guess not tho,needs to hook). I also forgot about our shortcut issue.. a lot on my mind these days.

I always play thru steam anyway,just to keep track of my time.. just kinda nice to know if steam goes wonky,I wouldn't need to search for my Fudge disk. ;) has recently in fact.. Internet was temp down,steam needed an update,and wouldn't start in offline mode..WTF kinda shit is that? hopefully that was a rare issue..of-course I usually venture outside,or some shit if my net goes down too long..:D

Actually, it probably would be forced as a Steam patch, unless there is an option in the SDK to allow an optional patch, but even then I'm sure we can make a 'downgrade' manual patch for those that really didn't like it.

Anyway, as of now there is no progress being made on this, so no one get their hopes up.

I'd rather see achievements as optional.

it is tbh.. if you're happy with current version,just remove tick "keep this game up to date" & by force update I mean we will not require patch for the game to run.. example some games if you remove tick,they will give notice "this game requires update 1.fuckall .. in fact even if we wanted to we couldn't because @ this point steam version doesn't even require steam. (which I like tbh & hope we can keep it that way)

I think you mean the screen shots I showed ya a while back where I quickly did up some rooms as an example. These simply have more models put in, nothing has been done to the lighting, shader effects or room layouts that would push things further:

I'd love to do this still, go over the entire of POSTAL 2 and improve how it looks as far as the engine will allow, but I can't really justify the time right now.  Before P2 hit Steam, me and the guys over at were considering a kickstarter to raise a modest amount to help pay us a bit for it (the patch itself would be released free on Steam if it ever came to pass).

And before someone says it, we won't be remaking POSTAL 2 on a newer engine, purely because at that point the work involved would be so much, that if we could fund that we could fund a real third POSTAL , which would be the better option.  Touching up the original P2 is much more likely at this point.

Don't make it too shiny or you'll ruin the atmosphere.

It would also be optional.. not like we're gonna force update.

A patch that improves visuals greatly. something we have talked about,and even started on a fair amount..can't say for 100% if it'll get done..some projects start,and fail due to lack of funding,interest,help,what ever the case may this case,for the moment it's just on hold.. steam interrupted it,and is priority for now..

1 Which modifiers/mods/custom weapons work best with the bots?

There is really no good answer here..I'll try tho (give a little info at least). basically it comes down to weapon coder,and a few .ini settings in 1409X/XL. I actually don't pay much attention to weapon code for bots..because no matter what,the bots are gonna suck.. which answers the next few questions..

The bots seem able to know most game modes and can navigate quite well but seem to have near useless weapon handling (like throwing grenades or using a  melee weapon) how can this be cured?

Basically the bots,and/or weapons would need better coding.. only thing you can adjust without extending,or rewriting code..would be how aggressive they are..(that basically turns 'em into aimbots) they don't really play better as far as strafing,jumping,thinking,etc...

Are there any console commands that can be used with them or any other information?

not really.. other than adding,removing,and such.. more info on commands can be found below..
