Never going to happen. Best you can hope for is a future remake of P2 on a more modern engine and PS4 port.

Sadly not, the servers will always crash every few map changes. With Windows you can install the 1409X patch, and use a RunServer.bat to reboot the server after a crash and it will remember what map changes you were on. Sadly I'm not sure how that works in Linux, it's been some time. Something to do with a UCC-Bin file I think?

But yeah, if you can work out how with Linux you can reboot the server automatically on a crash, we can help you with the rest.

We will when we have some artwork to show but tbh hardly anyone comes to this site for news so we post to the socials first, and by the time I thought about posting it here, as T. Dude, Jr said this thread pretty much beat us to it.

Someone said they would handle it for us, and never ended up doing so, we'll look into it again in the future, probably after the mobile release now.

BTW I'm not sure if you noticed we've updated the editor quite a bit, and on Halloween updated it even more, so make sure you've grabbed all the updates from steam if you're working outside it.

We have all latest updates because we have licensed Postal 2 Complete. All of us.

I didn't mean to imply you didn't own the game :) Just that you might have been using a version from Desura (which is still stuck on 1409) or GoG (which is currently 1415).  Steam is 1416.

Well, this is pretty awesome, we will follow this project with interest. Once you're done maybe we can work it more into what PIII was suppose to be (a freeroaming, errand based game).

If you find yourself needing some advise / support regarding the engine or code, let us know.

Sadly it would mean you'd have to restart your save. However we are working on a patch to improve the lighting so it's more lit (as there is a big fucking bright moon to light the map after all).
