In a way.

I think I've helped 1% out of 30k+ people who read this thread which is good. I know at the time I was leaving Steam I was angry at Valve. Now I have just a strong negative opinion about them and I feel like the original text should be modified to remove profanities and stay classy. The time will come.

Meanwhile, I've finally moved to Debian GNU/Linux and the only non-free software I have right now is "linux-firmware-nonfree".

I hope this movie will portray Russians as stupid fucks cause they are.

This is indeed a very good news. I was dissatisfied with the way ID software does these things. They release the code under GNU GPL but keep assets proprietary, thus you still have to acquire the the original proprietary copy to play the game. This goes against the spirit of freedom.

Hey p1 is about to go open source what more do you want  :o

That is very good.

What license are you going to use for game assets?

lol, missed you FaTony please stick around.

I've found a forum with like minded people and several games that respect my freedom. So now I'm enjoying gaming in a freedom respecting way. I felt that continuing expressing my point of view on this forum would be of limited use because people here seem not to take the issue seriously. Also, since all RWS' games are proprietary software, this means I will have to take a firm stand against them. I don't think campaigning against those games on this forum will be productive.

Aside from that, since I now have games that I can enjoy, I no longer feel that angry anymore. So don't expect angry posts from me or use of offensive language.

I'm not sure how to have this game takes freedom of anyone???

If you'd read EULA you'd see how much rights your are giving up.

As a part of my campaign against proprietary software I've deleted these files on my PC and on the Net. You should not give up your freedoms by using this patch and this game.

If someone (for example Toploader) has these files, he is free to continue sharing them.

I thought the consensus was that P3 is not worth playing even for free.

It's nice to see the fact that you've made an unauthorized copy of the game.

Ok, I'll ask politely. Can I please have the ability to edit my posts back?

If you don't want me to say anything about design of this site - fine.
