An Interview by Lars Tobias

Tell Me Your Secrets Running With Scissors

Hi, this is Lars Tobias, my friends have been nagging on me for about 4 weeks now (since I introduced them to Postal) and they wanted to know more about the game. You can actually call this a "mini interview".

I gave them a little info on what I know, but we were all hungry for more. We made some questions and I hope you can answer at least some of them (no pressure).

Lars Tobias: "In the last Postal game you could smoke pot. Can you still do this?"
Running With Scissors: "Hash pipes might return in multiplayer, but for the story mode we have implemented a new health system."

Lars Tobias: "What kind of health system is in the game?"
Running With Scissors: "Any time you are out of harm's way for long enough, your health we regenerate automatically."

Lars Tobias: "What kind of multiplayer modes can we expect, and can we expect any online/LAN coop modes (that would be great)?"
Running With Scissors: "Currently we have 8 Player Death Match, Team Death Match and Snatch modes for multiplayer, with more to be announced soon."

Lars Tobias: "Are there any loading transitions between section of the map, as this made some fans angry in postal 2."
Running With Scissors: "Streaming is ideal and hopefully the Source Engine will implement this feature in time for us to use it. Otherwise we may have to have quick loads that aren't noticeable."

Lars Tobias: "Will we finally get to see inside the dude's trailer (or will it always be a mystery)?"
Running With Scissors: "Yes, you will get to see it this time, there is no mystery, it's just an average trailer. It will also be featured in the menu screen."

Lars Tobias: "Can you still get your dog to fetch dismembered heads?"
Running With Scissors: "Yes, heads, arms, legs, you name it!"

Lars Tobias: "Do you have cow heads and is it still possible to pee? And if you can pee, can you pee from the Segway?"
Running With Scissors: "No cow heads this time, but the plan is that peeing will hopefully make it into the game in one hilarious way or another!"

Lars Tobias: "What is the gore level? Is it like AWP mod for Postal 2 or less? In one of the early interviews you said you didn't want to focus on violence. Have this changed?"
Running With Scissors: "Right now it is arguably gorier than AWP, with more blood, jagged cuts of dismemberment and the ability to pick up the body parts and trhow them or beat people to death with them! Also, one thing that AWP didn't have that POSTAL 3 will have is bullet holes and slashes appearing in the character when attacked!"

Lars Tobias: "Is it possible to get some screenshots in postal 3's current stage? It might be a little but it would please my friends very much."
Running With Scissors: "Yes, new screenshots will be posted regularly, I'll even throw up some gory ones for you guys! Keep checking the website!"

Lars Tobias: "Any celeberties we can expect to see in the game? I know at least two have been confirmed."
Running With Scissors: "Randy Jones and Jennifer Walcott are confirmed and a few more crazy, surprise celebrities will also be announced as soon as they are confirmed!"

Lars Tobias: "When is the game scheduled to hit the shelves?"
Running With Scissors: "Honestly, it may be in a year from now. Hopefully it will be sooner, the Russian PC version is scheduled before the end of this year and the American version will follow shortly after."

Lars Tobias: "And last, what platforms will it be out for? I am really hoping that it is released for PS3, so I can play with my friends without computers."
Running With Scissors: "It will definitely be on the XBOX 360 and PC. PS3 and Wii have not yet been confirmed but we will immediately announce if that changes! Cross your fingers!"

(I sent this to Mike, but when my friend saw the answers he said I should ask you instead because you apparently answer better :P)

I'm really looking forward to this game and the badger saw and Segway looks awesome!
